Retail & Commercial

In retail distribution, energy costs come straight off the bottom line. Every dock door opening dumps conditioned air. Every oversized system compensating for poor distribution burns money you can't bill back. In a 24/7 operation with constant goods movement, this isn't a rounding error — it's a significant operational cost that most facilities have accepted as unavoidable. It isn't.

What retail logistics demands from HVAC

Constant door activity. Distribution centres aren't sealed boxes. Dock doors open and close hundreds of times a day. Your system needs to recover immediately — not gradually, not at the next control cycle. The zone next to the bay can't freeze while the system catches up, and the zone fifty metres away can't overheat because all the cooling went to the door.

24/7 operation, variable loads. Day shift is full capacity with maximum goods movement and all doors active. Night shift is skeleton crew with reduced throughput. The system needs to adapt to both without wasting energy on one or underperforming on the other.

Consistent conditions across the floor. Staff complaints about temperature aren't a comfort issue — they're a productivity issue and an HR issue. Hot spots near the plant, cold zones by the doors, and a 10-degree variation across the floor means your workforce is working against the building instead of in it.

Energy costs that matter to the P&L. When you're operating on retail margins, HVAC energy consumption is a line item the finance director notices. Our systems operate up to 30% more cost-effectively than conventional solutions — because balanced air induction heats and cools the working zone, not the roof space.

The names on our order book

Ikea. Amazon. JD Sport. TK Maxx. B&M. National retail chains whose distribution operations can't afford downtime, temperature complaints, or energy waste.

These facilities run around the clock, handle thousands of SKUs across different temperature requirements, and need systems that perform consistently whether it's peak Christmas throughput or a quiet Tuesday in February.

How we approach retail HVAC

  • Consultancy and designsite assessment built around your operational patterns, not a generic warehouse template
  • Balanced air distribution±1.0°C across the entire floor, compensating for door losses in real time
  • Multi-zone managementdifferent conditions for ambient, chilled, and office areas within the same facility
  • 24/7 remote monitoringenergy tracking, performance visibility, and automated alerting
  • Preventative maintenanceplanned around your operation, not ours

We design, manufacture, install and maintain under one roof. One team that knows your building.
