Mail & Parcels

A parcel hub has no quiet hours. Sortation runs through the night, trailers arrive in waves, and the dock doors spend more time open than shut. The people on the sort floor at 3am are working when the outside temperature is at its lowest — and employee productivity drops rapidly when people are too hot or cold. A climate system for this environment has two jobs: hold conditions in a building that leaks them by design, and never become the reason the sort stops.

The physics of a building that never closes

Doors are the operation, not the exception. Every trailer movement dumps conditioned air and pulls the weather in. The system has to recover the dock zone immediately — not five minutes later, not at the next control cycle — without overcooling the sort floor next to it.

High roofs hoard the heat. In a tall sortation hall, warm air pools at roof level while the working zone stays cold. Destratification through balanced air distribution puts that heat back where the people are, holding temperature within ±1.0°C across the whole volume — and with nothing mounted at high level, there's no plant above the sorter to maintain.

The night shift is the design case. A system sized for a mild afternoon fails at 3am in January. We design for the building's hardest hour, because that's the hour your operation is judged on.

We've equipped postal hubs and parcel-sorting centres across the UK network — the same discipline we've applied across more than 80 warehouse and distribution-centre installations, covered on our logistics and warehousing page. DHL is among the names that trust us with buildings like these.

A system that never becomes the outage

In a 24/7 operation, the climate system is infrastructure — and infrastructure gets monitored. Our remote monitoring watches system performance in real time, raises remote alarms and diagnoses issues as they occur, drastically reducing response times. Portfolio clients receive monthly KPI reports showing compliance and system performance — evidence, not assurances.

When something does fail, our emergency callout service mobilises engineers with a 4-hour response — because a sortation hall losing heat at midnight can't wait for the morning rota.

Maintained around your operation

Planned preventative maintenance keeps failures rare in the first place — quarterly inspections and annual service scheduled around your peaks, not through them. The best emergency response is the one you never need.
