The most expensive place to discover a design flaw is on site
The conventional route runs: specify, install, balance, adjust — and hope. If the air distribution doesn't perform, the fixes happen at high level, in an occupied building, on programme-critical dates. Every damper tweak and re-balance is an admission that the design was a guess.
We take the opposite route. The calculation comes first. Airflow and thermal performance are modelled against your building's actual geometry — its fabric, its dimensions, its racking, its heat loads, its doors — until the design demonstrably holds the temperature envelope it was asked to hold. Only then does anything get built.
A design that has been meticulously calculated will deliver on site.
What we model
Air distribution. Our systems are built on air induction and distribution — high-velocity nozzles that recruit the surrounding room air into circulation. Every nozzle is computer-calculated: size, spacing, angle and throw, matched to your geometry. There is nothing to balance on site because the balance was engineered before the ductwork existed.
Thermal performance. Warm air rises; tall buildings stratify. We model how the space behaves under its real operating conditions — heat gains from process and people, losses through the fabric, the disruption of open doors — so the system is sized for the building you run, not the building on the architect's drawing.
The outcome. Temperature uniformity within ±1.0°C across the complete space, floor to roof — the figure our Balanced JET Technology is designed and verified to. The model isn't decoration. It's the reason the number holds.
Proof for the people who carry the risk
If you're a consulting engineer or a main contractor, your name is on the specification long after we've left site. Modelled performance gives you something a brochure can't: an engineered case, specific to the building, that the design will meet its envelope before anyone commits to steel and ductwork.
We work alongside consultants and contractors as readily as with end clients — as a design resource through our consultancy service, or as the delivery partner for the full system. Either way, you get the working, not just the answer.
When the client asks "how do you know it will perform?", the honest answer is a model, not a promise.
From modelled to measured
The model is the start of the evidence trail, not the end of it. The performance envelope is agreed at design stage; commissioning then verifies the installed system against the modelled design. That discipline — compute it, build it, measure it — is the foundation of our compliance and temperature guarantee approach.
Prove the design before it's installed, and proving it after becomes a formality.
Our approach
Capture the building as it really is — dimensions, fabric, heat loads, racking, door openings and operating patterns, not a desktop assumption
Model the air — computer-calculated nozzle air distribution, with every nozzle sized, spaced and angled for your specific geometry
Model the heat — thermal behaviour worked through under the operating conditions the space will actually face
Iterate until the design holds its envelope — changes on screen are free; changes on site are not
Verify at commissioning — measured performance checked against the modelled design
Why Jet Environmental
- Air distribution computed before installation — the performance case is made before a single unit is hung
- Temperature uniformity within ±1.0°C across the complete space — the modelled outcome, delivered
- De-risks specification for consultants and contractors as well as end clients
- 35+ years of industrial installations behind the modelling
- In-house design, manufacture and installation — the team that models the system is the team that builds it
